Samsung to the fore. The south Korean tech giant which entered the smart phone arena only in 2010 and now eating every chop out of it has recently revealed their massive yet staggering operational and profit figures related to the 4th quarter of the ending financial year. According to the report, the company has sold 35 million smartphone units and its a mark up from 27.9 millions of the same quarter of the previous year. Operating profits have surged to US $4.47 billions, which represents a 73 percent year-over-year increase. The revenue generated from Samsung’s processing chip and OLED display businesses and of course the tremendously successful Samsung Android phones along with the new power hoarse Galaxy Nexus have been the cash cows |
